When a Chinese dumpling house in Virginia approached us for design help, we created a set of two different proposals: traditional Chinese and modern Chinese.

In the traditional design proposal, bright reds and greens combined with whimsical traditional paintings to return the visitor to a bygone era. The modern proposal featured a more muted color scheme and monotone calligraphy wall decorations.

Both proposals included special design elements such as bamboo accent walls and custom made ceiling decorations. High industrial ceilings, bright lighting and an uncluttered dining room give the dumpling house an airy, sunlit vibe that provides the perfect setting for a delicious and memorable meal.
